Lavender Mojito Recipe from Cuba: A Refreshing Twist on a Classic

I love a mojito, especially in the summer — it’s just so refreshing! This version adds a fun twist to this Cuban cocktail with the addition of lavender syrup. Lavender isn’t something you usually see in home bars, but it’s one worth trying. It brings a gentle, slightly herbal sweetness that pairs beautifully with the lime and mint. The end result is a mojito that’s super smooth and a refreshing twist on a Cuban classic.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz white rum
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • ¾ oz lavender syrup (link)
  • 6–8 fresh mint leaves
  • Club soda, to top
  • Ice
  • Mint sprig and lime wheel, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a glass, muddle the mint leaves with lime juice and lavender syrup using a good muddler (link).
  2. Add rum and fill the glass with ice.
  3. Top with club soda and give it a gentle stir.
  4. Garnish with a mint sprig and a lime wheel.

Light, crisp, and beautifully balanced, this cocktail is a reminder that even a small twist can make a familiar favorite feel completely new.
