If you’re driving to Vienna, the city has plenty of parking options, with parking garages scattered around the city center, though it can get tricky to find parking in the busiest areas. The Park & Ride facilities on the outskirts of the city offer a great alternative, where you can park and hop on public transport into the city center. Keep in mind that there’s a “fee zone” for street parking in central Vienna, so make sure to check signs or use apps for parking meters.

From the Train Station (Wien Hauptbahnhof):

If you’re arriving by train, the Hauptbahnhof (Vienna’s main train station) is well connected to the city. It’s just a short ride to the city center via the U1 subway (about 10 minutes) or trams and buses. You can also grab a taxi or use ride-sharing services.

From the Airport (Vienna International Airport):

The Vienna International Airport is about 10 miles from the city center. You can take the City Airport Train (CAT), which gets you to the city in about 16 minutes. Alternatively, you can hop on the S7 S-Bahn for a cheaper option (around 25 minutes), or grab a taxi for about a 20-minute ride depending on traffic.
