If you’re dreaming of a stunning getaway on the Amalfi Coast, look no further than Villa Gabrisa in Positano. Tucked into the hillside, this charming, family-owned boutique hotel offers breathtaking views and a warm, inviting atmosphere. It’s the kind of place that feels like home, thanks to the friendliness of the Rispoli family that runs it.
Location
Villa Gabrisa boasts an unbeatable location right in the heart of Positano. You’re just steps away from the vibrant streets filled with shops, cafes, and only about a 10-minute walk from the beach. It’s the perfect base for exploring this picturesque town. Just keep in mind, Positano is known for its steep hills and winding stairs, so be prepared for a bit of a workout!
The Rooms
The rooms at Villa Gabrisa blend classic Italian style with modern comforts. Each room is thoughtfully decorated, featuring beautiful furnishings and charming details. While the AC is the old school wall units, it works great and keeps the rooms nice and cool.
The real highlight is the gigantic terraces that come off each room.
Covered in lush grape vines, these terraces offer some of the best views you could imagine. It’s a fabulous spot to enjoy breakfast or sip a glass of local limoncello while soaking in the scenery.
Dining
The hotel has an on-site restaurant, Da Gabrisa, that’s definitely worth a visit. The food is delicious, showcasing fresh seafood and the best local ingredients. They offer indoor seating, as well as outdoor seating (this is a no brainer😊) with stunning views of the coast.
They also have a small bar, the Tulip Bar, so they serve up cocktails all day long!
Nearby Attractions
One of the best things about Villa Gabrisa is how central it is. Everything you need is within walking distance—shops, beaches, and some of the best restaurants in town. Just be sure to wear some comfy shoes and be ready for those hills and stairs! A stroll through the town is a must, as the vibrant colors and charming architecture are so uniquely Positano.
Transportation Tips
To make your arrival smoother, I HIGHLY recommend using a car service to get to the hotel. This way, you can be dropped off right near the entrance, avoiding the hassle of navigating stairs with your luggage. Trust me; it makes the journey much more enjoyable! I use Aequa Limo for our private transfers and they are great! To read more about options for getting to and from the Amalfi Coast, check out this post that provides a breakdown of options.
Conclusion
Overall, I would definitely recommend Villa Gabrisa to other travelers. Accommodations in Positano are quite spendy, but Villa Gabrisa is in the mid-range. The location is fabulous, the rooms are very nice, you have a friendly staff, and the views are out of this world! It’s a little slice of paradise that you won’t want to leave!
