A Gem in the Heart of London
If you’re heading to London and looking for a place that’s as comfortable as it is stylish, look no further than The Bloomsbury Hotel. This place absolutely stole my heart during our three-week holiday trip, and it turned out to be the best hotel of the seven we stayed at. Here’s why:
Excellent Location
The Bloomsbury Hotel is tucked away in a quiet corner of Bloomsbury, one of London’s most charming neighborhoods. It’s a stone’s throw from the British Museum, and there’s no shortage of cozy cafes and shops nearby. Whether you want to explore central London’s main attractions or just enjoy a slower pace in a more relaxed area, it’s in a great spot.
A Bed You’ll Never Want to Leave
This might be the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in. No joke. My friends Christy and Lee who stayed here with us, also commented on the comfy bed. I’m talking about the kind of bed where you sink in, and it just hugs you. After a long day of sightseeing, there was no better feeling than crawling into that incredibly comfortable bed. My picture doesn’t do it justice, but it was great. If you read my blog, you’ll know that I often find beds in Europe to be to firm, but the Bloomsbury nailed it!

Top-Notch Staff
The staff at The Bloomsbury were absolute stars. From the moment we arrived, everyone was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. The gal who checked us in, whose name I don’t remember, was fabulous. They gave us suggestions on a couple of great restaurants, the bar staff were super friendly and on top of the service, and the concierge jumped in to help us with train transport after our flight to Edinburgh was cancelled. I definitely felt like they cared about making our stay as easy and enjoyable as possible.
The Beautiful Coral Room
One of the highlights of the hotel is the gorgeous bar—The Coral Room. Christy and I just fell in love with it. It’s beautifully designed, with a relaxed yet chic vibe. The cocktails? They make a great Mojito. The atmosphere? Elegant yet not stuffy. Plus, the staff at the bar were as lovely as the ones at the front desk. If you’re looking for a place to sip a drink in a cool space, this is it.

Dining at The Bloomsbury
Our room rate included breakfast, and The Bloomsbury has a good one. I ordered from the à la carte menu and mixed it up each day with waffles and fresh fruit and syrup, avocado toast, and the eggs benedict. Everything I tried was not only delicious but beautifully presented.
The Bloomsbury also has a lovely outdoor terrace restaurant, which looks like it would be a perfect spot for dining when the weather’s warmer. It was a bit chilly when we were there, so we didn’t get a chance to enjoy it, but it definitely looked like a gorgeous place to enjoy dinner.
Workout if you Must
In addition to the comfy beds and amazing staff, The Bloomsbury Hotel offers some great amenities that make your stay even better. The rooms are modern, clean, and well-equipped with everything you need to feel at home. There was even a fruit basket waiting for us when we arrived—a nice touch that made us feel welcomed right away.
My hubby took full advantage of the gym in the early mornings while I enjoyed some extra shut-eye (someone has to keep the bed warm, right?). If you’re someone who likes to keep up with your workouts while traveling, the gym’s a solid option and is open 24/7.
Five-Star Comfort
Of the seven hotels we stayed in during out holiday trip, The Bloomsbury Hotel was my favorite. It’s a five-star gem that manages to strike the perfect balance between luxury and approachability. It’s sophisticated without feeling stuffy, and I can honestly say it’s a place I’d return to in a heartbeat.
