The Hotel Indigo St. George has a prime location offering convenient access to the city’s main attractions, making it perfect for maximizing your time in Rome. We stayed here on our very first trip to Rome and we were pleasantly surprised that the location was ideal base for exploring.
The hotel’s decor is contemporary yet inviting, with clean lines, neutral color schemes, and stylish furnishings. Most importantly the room is sparkling clean, the bathroom has a rain shower, and the bedding is buttery soft. I struggle with the overly firm beds that I often find in Europe, yet these beds are only slightly firm, so still very comfortable.
The breakfast spread is a good selection of freshly baked pastries, breads, and cereals, along with fresh fruits and yogurt. Hot items included eggs, bacon, and sausage, with additional options like cheeses, cold cuts, and a range of beverages. It seemed it was thoughtfully designed to cater to both local and international palates. Be advised the have some seriously STRONG coffee!
Additionally, the hotel has spa facilities if you need a bit of rejuvenation after days of exploration. Think….. foot massage after long days of walking.
Lastly, I highly recommend visiting the rooftop. As a fan of rooftop restaurants and bars, there’s nothing quite like enjoying a glass of champagne while watching the sunset. The hotel has a lovely rooftop offering stunning views of the Eternal City—an experience not to be missed.
Overall, I’d rate The Hotel Indigo St. George an “A” and would gladly stay here again without hesitation. The location is fantastic, the rooms are comfortable, the staff is exceptionally helpful, and the rooftop terrace is wonderful.
