I’m thrilled to tell you about a hidden gem nestled in the enchanting coastal town of Sorrento, Italy. There is not a hotel that I’ve recommended more than I have the stunning boutique hotel, Maison La Minervetta. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS HOTEL!!!! Stunning views? Check! Gorgeous rooms? Check! Great location? Check! Beautiful decor? Check! La Minervetta is dreamy perfection and, in my opinion, the absolute best hotel in Sorrento.
Let me start by saying this: if Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast aren’t already on your travel radar, it’s time to rearrange that bucket list pronto!
I’ve stayed at La Minervetta several times and it’s beginning to feel like my home away from home when I’m in Italy (except it’s way more beautiful than my house). I remember the first time we visited the hotel, and our driver dropped us off in an open parking lot overlooking the sea, so I had to ask “where is the hotel?” You wouldn’t know it was even there if it weren’t for an entrance to an elevator sitting atop the cliff. You literally take the elevator down into the cliffside to reach the hotel.
A Captivating First Impression
The lobby. Wow! The lobby living room and the views from adjoining terrace are gorgeous. The lobby living room with its bright turquoise tile floor, stacks of coffee table books, colorful pottery, blend of patterns, unique artistic touches, just radiates vibrant energy. You’ll feel like you’ve stepped into a gallery where every corner has a story to tell. This place is a work of art in itself and is absolutely stunning.
Awe-Inspiring Panoramas
The view is phenomenal. Of course, the best hotel in Sorrento must have jaw-dropping views! Wake to the Mediterranean and its infinite shades of blue. It could make even the grumpiest morning person (me) crack a smile.
Breakfast Bliss
Speaking of morning, the brunch each morning is excellent. Sliced meats and cheeses, croissants, fresh fruit, cereals, freshly baked goodies, bacon, eggs or omelets cooked to order. It’s a spread that will satisfy everyone.
Unique Mediterranean Design
The hotel has 12 rooms, each uniquely designed with Mediterranean-style décor. It’s a playful mix of patterns and colors that is thoughtfully executed. Guest rooms either have a private outdoor space or an expanse of windows, allowing for amazing views.
Beyond Expectations
The staff? They’re a small but mighty bunch. With more friendliness and resourcefulness than a Swiss Army knife, they’re your go-to for stellar restaurant recommendations and crafting adventures.
Waterfront Bliss
The outdoor space with its expansive terrace is where we spent most evenings, sipping champagne, and watching the sky paint itself in shades of color. When jet lag catches up with you, grab a towel and relax by the hotel’s infinity pool.
Perfect Proximity
Location, they say, is everything, and Maison La Minervetta is a quick 10-minute walk from town which means you’re a hop, skip, and jump away from Sorrento’s treasures.
The Best Hotel in Sorrento
I’ve referred many friends to Maison La Minervetta and they have all loved it. It truly is a beautiful hotel that is unique, stunning and unforgettable.
