An Inside Look at Hotel de JoBo in Paris

Tucked away on a quiet street in the heart of Le Marais, lies a hidden gem that promises an extraordinary stay – Hotel de Jobo. Stepping into the hotel, its interesting yet quirky style immediately captivated me. It has a unique style, with ornate furnishings, colorful velvets, and artistic accents.

JoBo: A Parisian Tribute

The Hôtel de Joséphine Bonaparte, known as JoBo, opens its doors to all those seeking a slice of Parisian charm. The hotel’s 24 rooms and inviting lounges pay tribute to its namesake, admired for her great sense of style. Upon entering Hotel JoBo, it’s like stepping into Joséphine’s secret garden of style, where her influence resonates through each detail.

Eccentric Elegance

The guestrooms, adorned with toile wallpaper and patterned curtains, making us feel like we were living in a bygone era.  The playful leopard print bar is a perfect spot for an intimate evening.  The hotel’s opulent carpets, adorned with roses, reflect the distinctive style that JoBo was known for.  From the lounges to the corridors, every space exudes a unique character. I would best describe as “colorful chaos meets eccentric boudoir style.” 😊 And I mean that in a good way!

Exemplary Service

It’s not just the funky décor that makes hotel stand out: it’s the impeccable service and friendly staff that truly elevates the stay.  From the moment we arrived, the staff’s hospitality was beyond compare. They accommodated our early arrival and offered a welcome cocktail. We appreciated their recommendations for restaurants, as well as what we could do in just one day. Furthermore, they even reached out afterward about a forgotten scarf, offering to mail it.

Comfort and Convenience

The beds at Hotel de JoBo were comfortable, the rooms are small, but that’s expected in Paris. The quality of the breakfast was top-notch with a good variety of options.  With just one night to spend in Paris, the central location made it a breeze to explore. Also, it’s within easy reach of Notre Dame, the Louvre, as well as a plethora of charming boutiques, cafes, and art galleries.
